Science fiction would have you believe robots will eventually wipe out the human race. This may come to pass, but until then, robots can do all those jobs that we don’t want to, such as vacuuming. Samsung has unveiled the Powerbot VR7000 Robot Vacuum equipped with features such as powerful suction and a slim design perfect for cleaning the hard to reach areas that traditional vacuums miss like under the bed.

The Powerbot VR7000’s Edge Clean Master feature enables the unit to come within 15mm of the wall thanks to its wide 288mm brush close to the front, so when the unit reaches the wall, it can easily gather dust and hair. Additionally, the Auto Shutter feature automatically drops down a barrier to help the unit sweep up more dust collected closer to the edges. With Visionary Mapping Plus and FullView Sensor 2.0, the Powerbot maps and remembers contours of the room to provide thorough cleaning. Later, it can guide itself to dirty areas on any surface and can work around obstacles less than 10mm in size.

The Intelligent Power Control feature automatically adjusts the level of suction power, optimising cleaning functions according to surface type. For instance, when it moves from a hardwood floor onto carpet or a rug, the motor adjusts suction power to the required settings. Powerbot VR7000 is also fully controllable via a smartphone app. Users can start or stop the machine, schedule cleaning times, and check the cleaning history. Or if you’re one for barking orders, Powerbot can also be controlled via voice commands.
Check it out
Have you subscribed to Man of Many?
