Google’s newest smartphones are coming to Australia and bringing a ton of great specs along with them. Blatantly improving upon their predecessors, the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL deliver the range’s largest camera upgrade to date, with two premium cameras at the rear of the phone. One of those cameras hosts a telephoto lens, which pairs with Super Res Zoom software to produce impeccable image resolution at long distances. A new feature called Night Sight, meanwhile, captures gorgeous photos in even the darkest of environments. The end result is a perfect photo every time, and with no exceptions.
Of course, the Pixel and Pixel 4 XL don’t stop at studio-like camera quality. Making its grand debut on both smartphones is Motion Sense technology, which uses mini-radar sensors to bring forth a mind-blowing tier of intuition and responsiveness. Not only can it do things like sense when you’re nearby or far away and react accordingly, but it powers a Quick Gestures feature, allowing you to control certain functions with the mere wave of your hand. That means you’ll be able to swipe screens, skips songs, silence your phone, and turn off alarms without touching your screen altogether. Built around Google software, this revolutionary feature will only get better and better over time.
At the heart of each Pixel 4 or Pixel 4 XL is a Neural Core processor, which manifests itself by way of the aforementioned functions and a dynamic 90 Hz-capable OLED Smooth Display. Each device also delivers 50% more RAM than Pixel 3, amounting to speedy and seamless performance. And let’s not forget about Google Assistant, which is back and ready to serve at the mere squeeze or voice command. Get excited. Get very excited.
