Motorola Razr Australian Price, Release Date Revealed

The highly anticipated Motorola Razr clamshell-styled smartphone has an Australian price and release date. From February 24, 2020, the folding phone will be available from Motorola online and JB Hi-Fi for $2,699. Pre-orders are now open, and Motorola is working with Telstra to bring the device to the telco’s stores soon.

Where the Samsung Fold, 10 Best iPhone 13 Pro Max Cases and the likes are championing the phone that folds from left to right, Motorola decided to stay true to its flagship designs of yesteryear with the Razr folding from top to bottom.

Constructed from stainless steel and 3D Gorilla Glass, Razr’s outer shell is protective yet premium. Like the original Razr phone, the new model is slim and sleek, avoiding stark contrast in colours and materials to not detract from the seamless design. The phone features an industry-first, zero-gap hinge that allows both sides of the flexible display to remain perfectly flush when closed with water resistance and splash-proof protection.

When unfolded, the Razr has a 6.2-inch Flex View display with 21:9 aspect ratio for an immersive viewing experience. When the Razr is flipped shut, its external 2.7-inch interactive Quick View display, ensures users can stay connected on the go. Users can make calls, reply to messages, pay with a tap, control music, take selfies, use Google Assistant and access customised settings, like turning on or off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Hotspot and more, all without ever opening the device.

Talking tech specs, the phone runs the Android 9 Pie operating system and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. The Razr does not support removable memory like Micro SD. USB-C is the connection type, and the phone is backed by a 24-month warranty.

Neither Motorola or JB Hi-Fi are currently offering any pre-order bonuses, so if you’re concerned Razr might sell out, jump on board via the links below or wait to see what Telstra announces in the near future.
