The OnePlus 5T is More for Less

OnePlus came out earlier this year with their 5 phone, so to come out shortly thereafter with an upgrade can come across as suspicious. But the OnePlus 5T is a nice phone at an even nicer price.

Features on the 5T start with their dual cameras for better pictures. They dual cameras use two sensors that improve focus—something that is really apparent with their Portrait Mode. The sensors focus on the face of your subject while gently blurring the background. The 5T also shoots smooth 4K video that compensates for shakiness and movement. You’ll also have greater success in lowlight with the 5T’s “intelligent Pixel Technology,” which works by merging four pixels into one when the ambient light is low.

The upgrade to the phone comes in its screen. The 5T introduces a full optic AMOLED display with an 18:9 ratio. The screen is backed by an all-metal chassis, which keeps the phone looking slim.

The 5T employs the OxygenOS software. OxygenOS streamlines your Android experience. The software wouldn’t amount to much, however, without a quality processor. The 5T is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor an 8GB of RAM.

There are plenty of other features that are of interest with the 5T—like the facial recognition for unlocking, or the Dash Charge that takes only half an hour to get a day’s charge. Perhaps most notably, though, is the price tag—$499.
