Smartphones are capable of so much, and they are pretty much indispensable in this modern world. But one of the more annoying aspects of smartphones is having to constantly be charging them. And if you don’t remember to plug them in? Well, rest assured that the battery will give out at the most inopportune moment. French company Avenir Telecom is addressing that particular annoyance, and their solution—the Energizer Power Max P18K Pop—will leave you energized, and hopefully not too shocked.
Avenir licensed Energizer to bring to market a phone that has a battery with an 18,000mAh battery—it might be more appropriate to say that they actually brought to market a battery that has a phone built into it. The phone is said to have a week’s worth of juice in it—or 48 hours of continuous video playback. Of course, that much juice needs to be stored somewhere, and that’s where the Pop really starts throwing around it weight. The phone measures an immense 18mm. That’s essentially the same thickness as three and a half iPhones stacked on top of each other.
The Energizer Power Max P18K Pop isn’t just a gimmick phone; it actually functions. The 6.2-inch LCD display has minimal bezels and no notches or cutouts. It comes with two selfie cameras that pop up from the case. There are also three more cameras in the back. It runs on Android 9, and has a MediaTeck processor with 6GB of Ram and 128GB of storage.
