Panasonic’s GZ2000 OLED has the distinction of having been optimized by a leading Hollywood colourist, Stefan Sonnenfeld, who founded and runs Company 3.
Sonnenfeld has worked on many popular movies, including A Star Is Born, Wonder Woman, Man of Steel, Beauty and the Beast, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Jurassic World, and 300.
That feedback means that the TV has, according to Panasonic’s press release, “Unparalleled colour accuracy and significantly better than average brightness levels.”
The screen comes in both 65- and 55-inch screen sizes. As another first, the TV has built-in upward-firing speakers that are capable of delivering Dolby Atmos immersive audio (just like for the color, Panasonic called in experts for the audio, relying on Technics engineers). The GZ2000 also supports voice assistants, making it an integral part of your smart home setup.
The GZ2000 has improved brightness levels as well as a wider range, especially in the lower end of the RGB and gamma scales, of colours. The TV is capable of 4K video. These improved capabilities are a must for users like Sonnenfeld, who is showing his customers his work on Panasonic screens. And if it’s good enough for blockbuster films, then it’s gotta be good enough for your living room.
