The TCL 6-Series Roku TV represents what can happen when two great companies come together. TCL has a reputation for high-quality TVs—it’s no wonder that the company is the world’s largest and the fastest-growing TV brand in the US. Partnering with Roku means that home entertainment is about to be even more freeing.
The set provides 4K high dynamic range picture performance, meaning that your HDR experience is going to be spectacular. Making the colors even more stunning, the 6-Series also boasts Contrast Control Zone Technology, which is TCL’s way of achieving FALD (Full Array Local Dimming). With this technology, the TV can dim or brighten the backlight of selected zones, increasing the contrast and producing deeper blacks. The set also has the new iPQ Engine for improved color performance precision and optimized DCI-P3 color space coverage. If that’s not enough, viewers will also be treated to NBP Photon technology as a part of the Wide Color Gamut, which delivers more realistic colors.
The Roku portion of this partnership has the TV coming equipped with the new Roku TV Voice remote that offers voice search, high-speed wireless and Ethernet networking, and three HDMI 2.0a ports as well as Roku’s new features Roku Connect and Roku Entertainment Assistant (both are a part of Roku’s planned software update later this year). The TV will be available in 55 and 65 inch models.
