Grand Seiko SBGX353

New from Grand Seiko is the reference SBGX353, also known eloquently as the Skyflake. This spirited reference sits at a very subtle 34mm in diameter, has a stunning textured dial and is powered by the maison’s 9F61 quartz movement (which replaces the original Spring Drive movement).

The focal point of the SBGX353 is of course that gorgeous dial. Points of differentiation are the deep blued steel seconds hand, the diamond-cut hour markers and those refined hands. Fans of the Spring Drive movement might be turned off, but the SBGX353 Skyflake hits enough of the right notes to still be a solid consideration.

Brand: Grand Seiko
Model: Skyflake
Reference Number: SBGX353
Diameter: 34mm
Water Resistance: 30 metres
Calibre: 9F61 (Quartz)
Price: €3,900

Panerai Adds Moonphase to Luminor Due Collection

Panerai has introduced the Luminor Due collection’s very first complication in the form of the romantic moon phase. Placed at four o’clock in each of its variations, the new moon phase will feature a 24-carat gold moon set against a shining midnight blue sky, which will act as a key point of differentiation to distinguish the new Luminor Due Luna from the other pieces in the Luminor collection.

There will be handful of new models featuring the moon phase complication, including the Luminor Due Luna Madreperia with a white mother-of-pearl dial and red-toned Goldtech™ case, as well as a steel-cased Luminor Due Luna with a blue sun-brushed dial.
