Only 23 Audi RS 7 Exclusive Editions Will Be Sold

There’s no mistaking the understated aggressiveness of the Audi RS 7, and with the introduction of the uber-limited 23 production run ‘Exclusive Edition ‘ for the latest model year, we’re betting this one’s going to be a collector’s dream for years to come.

We only recently heard the disappointing sounds emanating from the new Mercedes-AMG C43 exhaust and with the number of cylinders on performance cars getting closer and closer to zero, the death of Audi’s 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine is imminent. If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on this RS 7 it will produce the same 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque figures, but include a host of exclusive kit such as Mamba Black pearl effect paint and more. Let’s check it out.

Outside of that exciting new colour – that blends together a black paint with undertones of blue – the Exclusive Edition package extends to features on the exterior such as Black Audi rings and badges, carbon exterior mirrors, front spoiler, and rear diffuser elements. The 22-inch V-spoke gloss black wheels wrapped in 285/30 performance tires are still some of our favourite factory wheels on a car today, and this exclusive edition takes them to the next level. Audi’s laser headlights are found up front.

The interior is equally as dark, moody, and understated with RS brand accents and bespoke Audi exclusive details such as Sepang blue stitching woven throughout the black leather. This extends to door armrests, centre console trim, upper door panels, and the upper dashboard as well. We love the new front passenger seats with Audi exclusive low side trim in black leather with Sepang blue stitching. The Audi exclusive floor mats are offered with black leather edges and finished, again, with Sepang blue stitching. The headliner is finished in black Dinamica.

The engine and drivetrain on the Exclusive Edition are kept the same as the standard model with 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque figures from Audi’s 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine. The resulting sprint from 0-60 mph is stated at 3.5 seconds, and the top speed is limited to 190mph thanks to the addition of 439mm Audi front and 371mm Audi rear Ceramic brakes with blue-painted callipers to match the interior stitching.

The 2022 Audi RS 7 Exclusive Edition is priced from $165,400 USD before on-road costs. We’d expect this exclusive model to be priced closer to the $300,000 USD mark once dealers add on their market price adjustments – a commonplace cost add-on while stock shortages are occurring – but the rarity of such a vehicle will play a major part. In fact, the global press release even mentions “Dealer sets actual price,” as if to pre-empt the inevitable.
