Charles Danner moved west to Portland at the height of the Great Depression, with the goal to create the most durable, capable logging boots in the country. Nearly a hundred years later, the brand is still hand-building iconic hiking and logging boots, along with some new lightweight hybrid boots for both the trail and the city. Today we’re highlighting one of our favourite collections in recent memory, their collaboration with Huckberry is made for Winter with hardworking models and perfect colourways.
The all-new Huckberry x Danner collab recreates the iconic hand-crafted Danner Light boots now made with waxed canvas and leather uppers along with some added features.

Huckberry x Danner Waxed Canvas Danner Light
What happens when you combine the waxed canvas material from Flint and Tinder’s Waxed Canvas Trucker Jacket and Danner’s rich, full-grain leather? Well, the answer is the exclusive hand-built Huckberry x Danner Waxed Canvas Danner Light Boot, limited to only 600 pairs. Available in an exclusive Huckberry “Texas Tan” colourway, the Light Boot features Danner’s legendary stitch-down construction which provides a wider platform underfoot for maximum stability.
Most importantly, the boot has all the technical features you look for, with a GORE-TEX liner for full waterproof/breathable protection along with a Vibram Christy outsole designed for maximum shock absorption. The soles of the boot are made from a rubber compound that delivers traction and stability on both wet and dry surfaces. This boot can be recrafted by Danner for long-lived durability.

Huckberry x Danner – Logger 917
The guys at Huckberry picked to co-design a limited edition version of Danner’s iconic heritage 917 Logger boot. This exclusive version still takes advantage of Danner’s much-loved waterproof Gore-Tex liners and strong, durable full-grain leather uppers. However, it now uses a lightweight, cushioned sole grounded in Vibram SPE midsole along with an Ortholite footbed with three layers of varying density foam. In case that technical mouthful wasn’t enough, the boot also features a Vibram 917 outsole that’s exclusively made for Danner boots featuring their XS Trek rubber. And they’ve also thrown in the TPU shank to provide stability and support.
The co-design limited 917 Logger boot is available in an exclusive Huckberry “Goldrush” colourway and features a modernized stitch-down construction and lightweight and breathable mesh lining.
