Monday Munchies: November 1 – Fresh, French, and Fizzy

Can you believe it’s November already?! Pretty scary in our opinion, but the restaurant game is really ramping up to bring us home at the end of the year. This week we’re counting down everything that’s French, fizzy and fresh as it gets with everything from new restaurant openings in the heart of Surry Hills to the best darn dumplings at home you’ll ever come across, this is Monday Munchies after all. But first, let’s start with the good stuff, the REAL good stuff.

Having sold 21 million of their delicious morsels over lockdown, Golden Wok is celebrating the chairlady behind the brand with delicious new flavours – Prawn Hargow and Prawn Gyoza.

A key supporter and contributor to Makmur Enterprises, Elly Meriati Tjangdjaja, known lovingly as Grandma, has played a key role in sharing the family history, culture, and food diplomacy through her recipe development and hard work.

Working closely alongside the Golden Wok team, the beloved matriarch has been pivotal in Golden Wok’s success and remains a strong source of inspiration for the brand.

Vesper essentials remain, such as Brandada de bacalao, oyster mayonnaise & savoury churros and Hiramasa kingfish Crudo with spicy citrus salad, but expect exciting additions like Corsican style slow-cooked veal blade, pancetta, peppers & olives and Burrata, squash & smoked sourdough Panzanella. Bubbles will of course be provided!
