Cara Delevingne’s LA Fun-House Has a Ball Pit and a Stripper Pole
“If you say you’re bored, then you are boring.” That’s the advice that supermodel and actress Cara Delevingne received from her mother, Pandora. If her house is any indication, Cara took that advice to heart. In a recent tour of her home, Cara showed off a veritable menagerie of themes ranging from a ball pit to a costume room, all filled with eclectic treasures.

The California residence was designed by Architect Nicolo Bini of Line Architecture, and it was no doubt a monumental challenge fulfilling Cara’s vision. The home starts with a nature theme represented by overscaled herons featured on Gucci wallpaper, a snake carpet that takes up most of the billiards room, and a leopard carpet that climbs up the stairs to the upper floor where the fun house is kept.
Throughout the home you’ll find flocks of bird sculptures from Mexican artist Sergio Bustamante. The nature theme is further added to by all the ferns, palms, topiaries, and houseplants. The upper floor fun house has a tented poker room, a jolly ball pit, and a costume room filled with hats and costumes. That’s not all of the fun to be had, though. There are two trampolines set in the ground outside next to the pool.
“I love games—charades, beer pong, poker, Cards Against Humanity, tug-of-war, whatever feels fun. When my friends come over, the house turns into an obstacle course. It’s like an indoor/outdoor playground by way of Alice in Wonderland. If I’m having a bad day, I just hop in the ball pit. You can’t really cry in a ball pit,” Cara told Architectural Digest. If you’re up for even more fun, you can head to the attic party bunker with its mirrored ceiling, tasseled swing, serpentine soft seating, wrist and ankle restraints, and stripper pole.
The home truly represents the life that Cara lives. “My work requires me to put on many different hats and costumes,” remarks the model. “I love slipping into these various characters, so I wanted my home to reflect lots of different themes and moods.” Rather than being a cacophony of zany spaces, it’s actually a sanctuary for Cara. “It still feels like a home,” she says. “There’s a proper dining room and living room and a great kitchen. But it’s also a kind of journey. The deeper in you go, the more treasures you discover.”
