A property mogul, ‘Money’ has amassed an incredible number of homes across the US, including a USD$26 million LA pad complete with a wine wall and a home base that features its own vineyard. But for all his riches, Floyd Mayweather’s latest USD$18 million (AUD$24 million) Miami Beach mansion may have topped them all.

The new acquisition is a nine-bedroom, 10½-bathroom home that was most recently listed for USD$19.9 million after first asking $21.8 million in 2016. According to the New York Post, Mayweather purchased the house through an entity named Fojoso LLC, settling on a figure reportedly around USD$18 million. Now, when it comes to Floyd Mayweather’s homes, there are a few requirements – huge bedrooms, massive entertainment spaces and a bunch of room to relax. Needless to say, his Miami home delivers.
The 10,853-square-foot South Coconut Lane home spans three stories and encompasses a ridiculous 5,000-square-foot rooftop deck. With outrageous waterfront views of the Biscayne Bay and a host of aftermarket features, the property is fit for a king. It also has an indoor movie theatre, a gym, a games room and an entertainment area.

Of course, being on the water, the Maini home has a private dock that can accommodate boats up to 100ft and has a centre console lift & a floating dock. Throw in the pool hot tub, stone deck, huge terraces and parking for 10 of Mayweather’s many cars, and you’ve got a property worth splashing the cash on.
According to reports, the sellers of the house were former Morgan Stanley managing director Candido Viyella and his wife, Anabella, who had the house built in 2011. Dina Goldentayer of Douglas Elliman held the listing and Tanasha Pettigrew of Galleria International Realty represented Mayweather, according to Realtor.com.

The latest Miami Beach purchase follows a strange year in the property market for Floyd Mayweather. The 44-year-old boxer recently sold a Miami Beach house for USD$6.25 million at a USD$1.5 million loss, with The Post previously reporting the home was most recently occupied by Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy.
Since the sale, the market for waterfront homes on Miami Beach has exploded, with sellers raising asking prices, bidding wars among buyers, and limited inventory. With Gloria and Emilio Estefan recently selling their Star Island guest house next to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mansion for USD$35 million, it’s little wonder avid property investor Mayweather is heading back to Miami.
