The end of November is a special occasion. The end of Spring and the beginning of Summer. Officially Christmas season. Longer days, shorter nights. And another instalment of our monthly series looking at some of our favourite watches worn by some of the world’s most famous celebrities.
We’ve got Chris Evans and Dacre Montgomery wearing an IWC, Pharrell Williams and Logan Paul each wearing a Richard Mille, while DJ Khaled is rocking some serious bling from Jacob & Co.
Read on and enjoy the Celebrity Watches of the Month!
Youtuber Logan Paul Wearing a Gold Richard Mille
The watch in question is the Richard Mille RM11 Felipe Massa in rose gold and titanium. Highly revered and highly sought after both deep within the watch community and amongst the affluent alike, the RM11 Felipe Massa is a fantastic timepiece. Logan Paul, who himself is no stranger to controversy and the spotlight having lost his boxing bout against KSI, rocks the $130,000USD watch like it’s nothing at all, pairing it with a similarly loud shirt. Fashion sense aside, this is a serious watch that deserves a solid round of applause.
DJ Khaled Rocks a $1.4 Million Jacob & Co.
The watch in question is the diamond covered Jacob & Co. Astronomia Tourbillon. Set with an incredible 342 baguette diamonds through the white gold case and limited to only 8 pieces, it seems that DJ Khaled’s love for the ostentatious knows no bounds. Pictured here with Jacob & Co.’s founder in the back of his Maybach, DJ Khaled loves flaunting his successes, and I mean who wouldn’t? They don’t want us to win!
Pharrell Williams’ Cosmic Richard Mille
With a price tag of a whopping $1 million USD, the first collaboration of what I expect to be a long line of collaborations is the RM 52-05 Tourbillon. Depicting the landscape of Mars’ surface reflected in the visor of the astronaut’s helmet, the RM 52-05 if course no ordinary timepiece. Like any Richard Mille, it comes with a whole assortment of delightful minutiae details. It seems that Richard Mille continues to be the name on every celebrity’s lips.
Captain America and His IWC
At the recent WIRED25 Summit at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco, Chris Evans was pictured wearing the IWC Portugieser Chronograph. Fairly low-key but matched perfectly with his attire, the gold case and clean white dial of the Portugieser Chronograph is undeniably appealing. Difficult to see, but the touch of blue of the chronograph minute and second hands are a nice touch and add a pop of colour to the otherwise very sterile dial. One of my favourite actors wearing one of my favourite watches. A great combo!
Aussie Actor Dacre Montgomery Wearing His IWC
Australian actor Dacre Montgomery, famous for his appearance on Netflix’s hit series, Stranger Things, was seen wearing a very beautiful piece from IWC at a recent photocall in Hollywood. The piece in question is the IWC Portugieser Perpetual Calendar. Clad in gold, the Portugieser Perpetual Calendar is one of IWC’s best known timepeices, combining stunning aesthetics with quality mechanics. The quintessential choice for many celebrities and watch collectors alike.
Indian Cricketer Hardik Pandya Wearing the Nautilus Perpetual Calendar
One of India’s most famous cricketing products Hardik Pandya was seen wearing one of the world’s most sought after timepieces, the delectable Patek Philippe Nautilus Perpetual Calendar. The Mumbai Indians star was seen wearing his 105,000CHF Patek Philippe recently, and boy oh boy is it a good looking watch. Often mistaken for steel, the white gold case is a solid choice for those wanting to make a statement but also fly under the radar. Now, I’m not exactly sure that Hardik had that in mind when he decided to strap the Nautilus to his wrist, but in any case it looks fantastic.
Lewis Hamilton’s Sees Big Red With IWC
To celebrate the recent crowning of the now 6-time world champion F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, IWC has released a super exclusive remake of the brand’s iconic Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar. Clad in black ceramic and featuring a beautifully deep burgundy dial and matching burgundy textile strap, the Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar ‘Lewis Hamilton’ absolutely embodies the F1 driver’s eccentric and boisterous personality. Limited to 100 pieces, it was unveiled at the launch of IWC’s new boutique in Abu Dhabi before Lewis Hamilton takes to the track one last time this year at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina circuit.
