Qatar Airways is Offering a Status Match For Virgin Australia Customers

The business has unlocked a rare status match for top-tier frequent flyers for just six airlines, one of which is Virgin Australia.

Qatar Airways Status Match 1

According to Qatar Airways, the company wants to show Singapore Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Emirates, Etihad Airways, and South African Airways and Virgin Australia customers why it should be their airline of choice. The company is offering to match the equivalent status within its own Privilege Club program, valid for 12 months. But this is a one-time offer and the clock is running. The Qatar Airways status match offer expires at 11:59pm on Wednesday, May 20 (Doha time), so you better move quick.

One of the major benefits for newly minted Qatar Airways Privilege Club members is the company’s Oneworld Alliance membership. For Aussies, this means a bunch of further benefits other airlines such as American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Japan Airlines and of course Qantas. If you are a Virgin Australia frequent flyer, this would enable you to score access to domestic and international Qantas lounges, providing the same level of persk as their Qantas Silver, Gold and Platinum counterparts.

  1. Join Qatar Airways Privilege Club by visiting qmiles.com
  2. Email your last two months’ statements and a copy of your frequent flyer membership card from selected airlines, along with your Qatar Airways Privilege Club membership number to [email protected], with the subject line “Privilege Club Status Match”
