The ivory Grand Feu enamelled dial of this watch is truly magnificent. This watch is from Jaquet Droz’s ‘Les Ateliers D’Art’, translated into English as ‘art workshop’, collection and it is truly what it is supposed to be- a work of art. Since the 18th Century, the Jaquet Droz family have been pioneers of art decoration of luxury watches and the collection is a tribute to this.
The painting on enamel technique is done by hand with the help of a microscope and takes on average one week to complete one watch. This watch features a golden phoenix with red highlights on its feathers, symbolising re-birth and myth.
The watch is Swiss-made and the case is made from 18-carat rose gold and measures to 35mm. It has a self-winding mechanical movement with a power reserve of 68 hours and water resistance to 30 metres.
This one-of-a-kind watch can be found at Bucherer.
