For his best Louis Vuitton collection to date, Pharrell Williams showed Paris the roots of the American Western wardrobe with nods to Japanese workwear, BODE, and Ralph Lauren in the process. Denim with pearl-and-sequin embroideries, gunmetal-washed, sun-tattered looks, and printed Western floral motifs, the collection follows teasers on his Skateboard Instagram page and a spectacle-worthy Pre-Fall 2024 showing in Hong Kong.
This time, the story is clear. Travel is back at the centre with the LVERS theme – a bridge between Virgina and Paris – now more obvious than ever. Williams goes beyond the surface, as expected, with a collaboration alongside artists from the Dakota and Lakota nations for accessories and the show staging and soundtrack. Look for the Dakota Flower symbolism on the Speedy bag, messenger bag and travel tote below.

We also love the choice to collaborate with workwear icon Timberland, whose work boots are reimagined in wheat or black nubuck with debossed LV Monograms, a size increase of 15 per cent, and an Italian-made construction. Of course, there’s a highly limited version with real gold eyelets and tongue pendants carried in Monogram canvas and plexiglass shoe trunks. Timb-heads will note they’re all finished on XL soles.
Following the Millionaire Speedy featured on our list of the best fashion releases of 2023, Pharrell debuts his new heat-moulded handle bag. The most famous LV piece of all returns in new form as a studded saddle bag along with the Saumur, Steamer (in three sizes), and Pochette Accessories XL.
Highlights from tailoring and shirting, shoes, accessories, jewellery, and sunglasses include vaquero jackets with hand-embroidered metallic cuivre florals, fine-tailored dungarees, the LV Texan boot with Western bootmaker Goodyear in Texas, cowboy hats in leather with belt-buckle hatbands, jewellery constructed in genuine turquoise, a fine silver link chain in supersized dimension, and finally, carbon fibre Millionaire sunglasses.
