The award-winning online destination for men’s style MR PORTER is partnering with Virgil Abloh and his streetwear brand Off-White for an exclusive capsule collection inspired by a new generation of workers and their workplaces.
The 44-piece collection titled “Modern Office,” comprises 20 ready-to-wear pieces, 18 accessories and 6 pairs of footwear. The collection is said to frame a revisionist dress code of traditional and modern sportswear, mixed with Off-White’s trademark themes of flux, evolution and modernity.
Standout pieces of the Modern Office collection include the work trench linen coat with tonal embroidered arrow logo; an all-over logo-print washed cotton canvas jacket, wide-leg linen trousers with tonal arrow logo and an all-over logo silk camp-collar shirt.
Revealing his inspiration for the collection, Off-White Founder and Designer Virgil Abloh said “the besuited businessman and that young skater hanging out in the park on the Lower East Side. Those two worlds gracefully colliding into one.”
For the entrepreneurs among us, not bound by the traditional workplace dress codes, there’s the “Modern Office” logo print jersey T-shirt, all-over logo jersey T-shirt, and a satirical “Class of 2013” logo print cotton T-shirt. Accessories include low-top 3.0 leather sneakers, distressed CO sneakers, all-over logo suede leather sneakers, all-over leather pool slide and a “Class of 2013” iPhone X cover.
“Securing the MR PORTER account has always been a goal for me,” said Virgil. “Not only have I admired it being a consumer in the marketplace and shopping it, but because I could always see my brand aligned with it. I’m so honoured to team up with the team and produce this capsule exclusively for MR PORTER.”
The MR PORTER x Off-White Modern Office capsule collection launches January 21 with prices ranging between $60 to $1,440.
