Quite honestly, we weren’t sure what to think when we first laid eyes upon Chrome Hearts latest oddity.
At first, shocked is how we’d describe the feeling of laying eyes on what appears to be a Chrome Hearts butt plug, it’s LA’s favourite brand after all so we weren’t surprised. After figuring out the similarly designed and shaped item is just a Match Stick holder that falls into their ‘Oddities’ lineup, and recently included a $3000 toilet plunger, the only thought left in our head was “damn, would they sell it welded shut upon request”? Ayo.
Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time a designer brand has delved into the unknown with a fetish-inspired invention either. Just last year Gucci debuted a lineup of sex-toy related pieces at their Spring/Summer 2022 runway show on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles. Here, the products were far more profound, with a butt-plug necklace and anal bead clutch. Multi-purpose Jewellery at its finest if we dare say so ourselves.
Always one to step over the boundaries when it comes to trends the Chrome Hearts Match Stick holder is made of sterling silver and features engraved logos around the base, with a functional match stick holder and sparking element along the rim.
