The Awake Ravik Electric Surfboards adhere to three primary principles—power, speed, and precision. It’s a good thing, too, as the sleek design of the surfboards allows for more rapid response and high agility. The streamlined body is capable of sharp corners, while the propulsion system, consisting of an 11 kW brushless motor and a precision machined impeller, will have you accelerating quickly to 30 knots, or 56 kilometers, per hour. Acceleration is so aggressive, in fact, that you’ll be jumping from 0 to 50 kph in just four seconds.
The board is a carbon fiber design that measures 179 X 61 X 19 cm. The whole board, battery included, weighs 35 kg—so while you may not want to carry it all day every day, you can cart it into different locations if needed. The battery is exchangeable and lasts for about 40 minutes of mixed riding. The throttle is controlled wirelessly. Awake holds patents on its designs, which have come as the result of listening to their customer base and building accordingly. The board comes with a power pack, a speed charger, the wireless throttle and a throttle induction charger, a magnetic power key with dead man’s grip function, foot straps, performance fins, and a board bag with wheels. Ravik is manufactured in Malmo, Sweden.
