The Furrion Elysium Concept RV is so advanced that it might just be able to save Chevy Chase’s vacation plans in his next National Lampoons adventure. Just consider this—the Furrion Elysium concept has a heli pad. That’s right, this RV has a place to land a Robinson R22 helicopter on it.
The Furrion Elysium measures an impressive 45 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 13.5 feet high. On the roof of the Elysium, you’ll find that heli pad, but also a lounge area and a hot tub. The upper deck is accessed through a getaway hatch, and the heli pad lowers above the master bedroom during transport.
On the inside, you’ll find three 75-inch 4K TVs as well as a 15-inch touch screen that controls the RV’s infotainment system. There’s also a fireplace—yep, a fireplace—a complete kitchen outfitted for gourmet cooking (meaning there’s an induction cook top, convection microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, and a wine fridge), and a bathroom with a smart toilet and smart shower—although smart toilets and smart showers may be more frightening than anything else.
Elysium also features vehicle automation. No details have been shared on what that means, but it’s still a safe bet that someone needs to be behind the wheel when moving.
Even Chevy Chase’s vaunted ability to have everything that can go wrong go wrong could ruin a vacation in an RV like this.
