Roush and Ford have been working together for years, and the vehicles the pair have turned out are all pretty amazing. As long as Ford continues putting out vehicles, Roush will continue offering upgrade kits. For 2020, Roush is offering an off-road version of the popular F-150, making it a utility vehicle that is a stunner in the looks department.
It’s pretty plain that Roush isn’t going for a street truck with the 2020 F-150 Utility Vehicle. As Roush puts it, this truck “combines off-road capability with rugged good looks for any off-the-grid adventure.” Those rugged looks start with a bespoke Roush grille that features signature lighting and a front bumper cover. Roush also tacked on a fender flares and plenty of branding. You can also select from a Roush leather package for the interior. Other options include an off-road utility kit and a “Console Vault safe” where you can keep your valuables when you’re off the grid.
For performance—because it wouldn’t be a Roush project without improved performance—the truck comes with new 20-inch Roush six-spoke wheels that are shod in 33-inch off-road General Tire Grabber AT/X tires. The F-150 is equipped with a set of Roush/Fox 2.0 coilover suspension upgrades that have the added benefit of providing more ground clearance in addition to the smoother ride. Out back, you’ll see the Roush exhaust poking out with dual tips. That system can be enhanced even further with an optional active exhaust system with four modes that can be customized through an iOS app. Under the hood is a Ford twin-turbo or a 5.0-liter V8.
The kit is designed to go with either an XLT or Lariat model of the F-150 and only adds $13,750 to the list price of the original truck. You can get your own version by ordering it through a Roush-authorized Ford dealership.
