iXOOST has teamed up with one of the big boys of German automaking for its latest design. The bespoke Italian audio company has taken inspiration from Razer Hammerhead Offers Active Noise Cancellation for the Ultimate Gaming Experience-AMG to create its new speaker based on the acclaimed GT sports car. While the Bluetooth-enabled device may not hug track corners well, it’s incorporated the same luxury performance you’d expect from the admired vehicle. Oh, and it’s just as sexy to look at.

This isn’t the first time iXOOSTt has dived into the motor world, working with Lamborghini, Pirelli and Formula One in the past. However, its latest build marks the first time the company has joined forces with a German manufacturer. Based on the result, we don’t think it will be the last.
While most speakers have become background ornaments within the home, the iXOOST and Mercedes-AMG collaboration is a definite head turner. From front on, there’s an obvious similarity between the device and the nose of the sub-brand’s high-performance sports vehicle. It features a chassis constructed from carbon fibre and has the same iconic front grille seen on the car. Adding to its authenticity, the speaker boasts hood vents, tailpipes, a rear diffuser and a badge just like the one placed on the engine of all AMG whips. Chuck some wheels on this thing, and you could have one ultimate beat-bopping remote control car.
Just as the AMG car is more than a striking piece of art, the speaker is no different. Under the hood, the device is packed with a pair of bass reflexes and six-inch sub-woofers, alongside four one-inch tweeters. All combined together, these elements deliver a roaring 360-degree hi-fi listening experience. Measuring a considerable 26 inches long and 30 inches wide, the speaker is relatively light, weighing just 15 kilograms (33 pounds).
While the price tag hasn’t been revealed, this iXOOST AMG won’t come cheap. Considering the level of craftsmanship involved, expect the speaker to leave a dent in the wallet, with one of the brand’s Lamborghini models selling for USD$21,000 (AU$30,500).
