Perhaps the single worst way to meet an artist is to hear him speak about his work, process or inspirations. Australian film maker Michael Danischewski understands this and when he goes to Japanese born, berlin base artist, Hiroyasu Tsuri to present him in film, he goes beyond the artist and into his creation. “Cast A Shadow” is intimate, chaotic and moody as it moves in a blur from project to project, showcasing Tsuri’s numerous talents and projects. Fewer words spoken allows for the art to speak for itself and it’s breathtaking.
