Laneway dumplings momos

Laneway Dumplings & Momos

Naman Singh – Content & SEO Specialist

Often, the best food is hidden in the most tucked away places. Laneway Dumplings & Momos is located on Temperance Lane, a literal laneway in the heart of the Sydney CBD. With fairy lights, street art and Rick and Morty-themed graffiti, it’s a lot more than just aesthetic. Laneway boasts a delicious selection of buns, dumplings and momos (a Nepalese take on dumplings), with plenty of vegan options on the menu. However, the high quality of food can only be beaten by their price point, with either 10 or 16 momos priced at under $20.

With a street food-like ambience, it goes without saying that the atmosphere is casual, relaxed and fun. Laneway is the place you would go to when you’re looking for tasty, wholesome and low-brow food on a budget.

Pacific Drifter Spiced Cane Rum

John Guanzon – Head of Social

Over the summer, having hosted several events at my new pad, I’ve been picking up the cocktail shaker and trying my hand at learning a bit of mixology. A new bottle I was able to try was Pacific Drifter’s recently released Spiced Cane Rum, which captures the essence of the Sunshine State with its infusions of cinnamon, vanilla, and citrus. The spirit itself feels very laid-back and easy-going, much like the vibe in Queensland every time I’m up there. Each sip is like taking a mini vacation and that kick of spice adds the perfect twist to a rum cocktail.

For me, what sets Pacific Drifter apart is not just its taste, but its commitment to sustainability. From using recycled labels made from sugarcane waste to sourcing locally-produced molasses, the brand prioritises eco-conscious practices. It’s even made quite the splash by winning the Spiced Rum/Cane Spirit Trophy at the prestigious 2023 Australian Rum Awards, so that has to say something, right? Now please excuse me while I make myself a spiced piña colada while I pretend I’m on holidays.

Nanoleaf Essentials Matter Smart LED Downlight

Ben McKimm – Journalist

I’m a bit of a smart home nut and I’ve been transitioning the majority of lightning in my place to RGB LED Downlights. Unfortunately, I’m also a deal hunter and I’ve been filling the place with cheap options off Amazon… andddd they’ve been failing almost weekly. So when an email landed in my inbox from our friends over at Nanoleaf saying they wanted me to try their new Nanoleaf Essentials Matter Smart LED Downlight system, I couldn’t be more excited. I already have their Nanoleaf Lines in my gaming room, and now I can finally sync everything together to shine the same colour through my Google Home. Best of all, these are high quality units that aren’t going to fail anytime soon. A four pack is priced under AUD$200 so they’re pretty good value too.

Productive Post Japan

Scott Purcell – Co-Founder

Did you miss me? In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve been away on holiday for the past couple of weeks travelling in Japan. I’ve returned feeling refreshed and ready to get stuck into work which has been good. So this week is less of a product review and more of an update on some things happening. You’ll be proud to hear that I’m now on day 33 of my gratitude journaling and can happily share some results. Before I divulge, I just want to say that I’m naturally a massive cynic and not usually into things like this. Does it work? Yes. Does it make you happier? Also, yes. I was surprised that this simple process allowed me to start taking note of all the positive things that happen throughout my day rather than focus on the negative. There are small moments where you think this would be a good one to write down (or type in my case) tomorrow morning when I’m journaling. Studies say that after 21 days of gratitude journaling, it makes you 25 per cent happier, and I’d say that’s about right.

Onto the next things. I mentioned I came back from Japan feeling refreshed, so it was time to hit the ground running on some things. I finally booked in laser hair removal for my back, shoulders, and neck (I’ve meant to do this for ages but was pretty scared and embarrassed to rock up to the shop which was silly). I’ve just had it done, and it wasn’t that bad at all. Secondly, I bought a bunch of things I’ve been meaning to following my trip. A 65W charger that is capable of charging both a laptop and smartphone that has international plug adaptors, which is super handy while away. An Airfly Pro so you can listen to audio from the plane on your Bluetooth headphones wire-free. I now have a digital kitchen scale as I’m trying to lose the 3kg of weight I put on from all the eating and drinking overseas and trying to watch my diet with the help of my F45 coach. And finally, I’ve been wanting to learn and teach myself how to DJ for ages, so I purchased this Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX4 2-Channel DJ Controller and a pair of the Pioneer DJ HDJ-CUE1 DJ Headphones. Carbon fibre cufflink watch box

Marcus Hurley – Sales and Partnerships Manager

My thoughts on Valentine’s Day have always been varied, floating between “what a load of rubbish” to “this is a brilliant excuse to spoil my partner!”. As I am now firmly in the latter frame of mind, you can imagine my joy when I was the one who was being spoiled this year!

The thought crossed my mind that perhaps my new Carbon Fibre Cufflink Watch Box was a strategic gift due to my habit of leaving my watches, bracelets, and rings on whatever surface I find convenient at the time. Even if this is the case, I now have a sensible place to keep and display my trinkets in a stylish and elegant way. Nestled right next to my partner’s own jewellery box, I can’t think of a better representation of love, unity, and a joint desire to achieve tidiness.

This handcrafted storage box is perfect for cufflinks, watches, and all other male jewellery pieces. Made from Croco PU Leather with a beautiful finish it is an excellent way to display and admire your day-to-day and special occasion jewellery.

As you are reading this on Man of Many, you are most likely a watch and jewellery aficionado, so do yourself a favour and either drop a hint to your loved one or go and get yourself one today.

Adidas Superstars

Frank Arthur – Co-Founder

The Adidas Superstar, a shoe that needs no introduction, was launched in 1970 and remains a favourite in 2024. I bought my first pair over 20 years ago and recently welcomed my fourth pair, continuing a tradition of loyalty to this iconic sneaker. Originally designed for basketball, it has become one of the most versatile lifestyle sneakers, embraced by skaters, rappers, rockstars, and fashion icons, and its presence on fashion runways and the feet of countless celebrities, from Run DMC to Kylie Jenner, underscores its generational appeal. Not only is this one of the most comfortable shoes that I own, the Superstar’s iconic shell-toe design has established it as a timeless staple, embodying the idea that true classics never fade.

MAISON de SABRÉ’s Large Soft Backpack

Dayna Aspite – Branded Content Associate

I was lucky enough to testrun MAISON de SABRÉ’s Large Soft Backpack from the brand’s latest office collection. Straight away this bag stands out as sophisticated and functional. Crafted from sustainable DriTan™ European leather, this backpack deserves a satisfied ‘ooooh’ for its premium quality. The adjustable padded straps ensure a comfortable fit, catering to varying sizes, while its compatibility with laptops up to 16-inch adds a practical flare.

Magnetic snaps secure access to the main compartment, complemented by a hand-contoured flap for a refined closure experience. There’s even two external zip pockets that have you covered for those moments of needing quick and easy access. Inside, it’s a pocket party with four more – keeping things in place like a fashionable and organised boss.

A nice touch MAISON de SABRÉ offers with most of its purchases is a custom monogram of initials. I don’t know about you, but stuff with my name or initials in it makes me feel on top of my game. I got to flaunt my new backpack with my initials nicely monogrammed on the pendant that comes with the bag. Having this little touch of personalisation goes a long way!

If you’re into leather, luxury, and looking good while hauling your stuff, the MAISON de SABRÉ backpack might just be your new sidekick.
