Inside Man of Many’s Insane ‘Argylle’ Premiere Party Down Under

In Partnership with NBC Universal

Man of Many has proudly hosted the Australian film premiere of the year, launching Matthew Vaughn’s must-see action blockbuster, Argylle, via a star-studded screening at the Hoyts Cinema in Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter, which saw guests describe the film as “amazing”, “fabulous”, and “a cinematic masterpiece”.

The evening’s exclusive guest list was dressed to kill for a night of unmissable entertainment, with Moët & Chandon served on arrival, a DJ spinning tunes from the film’s soundtrack, and even an insightful video introduction from director Vaughn, the man responsible for such high-octane cinematic extravaganzas as Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kick-Ass, and X-Men: First Class.

Kicking off the event was celebrity trainer and friend of Man of Many Jono Castano, who made a dramatic entrance behind the wheel of a blue Jeep Wrangler—as featured in the film—followed by a who’s who of VIPs excited to see the latest thrill ride from Vaughn and his incredible cast, featuring Henry Cavill, Dua Lipa, Samuel L Jackson, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Sam Rockwell.

Vaughn unquestionably puts his A-listers to good use, with Argylle following Elly Conway (Howard), an introverted spy novelist, who’s drawn into a deadly game of espionage as a result of her books’ similarity to the real-world activities of a shady underground syndicate. When Aiden (Rockwell) shows up, claiming he’s a spy who’s there to save her from being kidnapped, killed, or both, Elly and her cat Alfie find themselves leaping head-first into a covert world where nothing, and no one, is what it seems. It certainly is a wild ride, and as one guest put it, “When you think you know where the story’s going, you don’t. Anything can happen. You think you’re safe and you’re really not”

While the plot undoubtedly opens the door for numerous thrilling and unforgettable moments throughout the film, one of the most memorable has to be the eye-catching dance choreography Caville and Lipa perform (you may have spotted it in the trailer). As such, Man of Many had professional dancers on hand at the Argylle premiere to recreate the iconic performance for attendees, drawing gasps and applause from onlookers, particularly upon reaching the risqué climax with its signature move, ‘The Whirly Bird’.

Following the Argylle screening, guests were eager to share their thoughts on the film, with one saying there were “so many plot twists, so many twists and turns. It was great!” Another described it as “A fabulous film” and “very entertaining”, while a third said, “It was insane. Like, plot twist on plot twist on plot twist!”
