The third instalment of Fury v Wilder has officially been confirmed, with the heavyweight battle set to take place later this year.
On Monday, fight promoters Bob Arum and Frank Warren confirmed that a now belt-less Deontay Wilder had exercised his rematch clause, much to the delight of sports fans across the globe.
Fury v Wilder III is expected to take place on July 18, with the two set to square off at the iconic MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The announcement comes less than two weeks after Wilder tasted defeat for the first time in his professional career. The US heavyweight, famous for his deadly right-hand hook, came undone at the hands of outlandish British behemoth Tyson Fury.
The highly publicised rematch to 2018’s controversial draw didn’t disappoint. Fury produced what many have referred to as a ‘boxing masterclass’ to defeat the US champ, putting an end to his impressive reign in the seventh round.
Visibly upset with his corner’s decision to throw in the towel, many expected Wilder to call for a rematch, but not quite this quickly. The ex-champ had 30 days to trigger the clause. He took only six.
The rematch of the rematch is big news for sports fans and betting agents. The first Fury v Wilder fight was one of the biggest Pay-Per-View boxing events of all time, but the rematch more than doubled it.
Will you be tuning in come July?
