Customers can gain early access to the service by pre-activating a 30 day free trial for a limited time only, including access to both Wimbledon and the French Open tennis tournament. Stan (owned by Nine Entertainment) is definitely stealing a bit of thunder from their Foxtel rivals Kayo Sports, who will also be launching a freemium model this week.

The news follows the announcement of a $100 million three-year broadcast rights deal in November 2020, which will give customers access to all types of rugby union matches for the first time in history. “For the first time in Rugby’s history, fans can experience the game from its grassroots all the way to the international level, allowing a whole new generation of Australians to connect with the sport.”

Rugby fans will also gain access to an extensive library of classic Wallabies, and Super Rugby matches on Stan Sport, adding even more value to the supplementary fee of $10 a month.
