Luxury activewear brand lululemon has added seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton to its roster which includes names like Min Woo Lee, Max Homa, Frances Tiafoe, Leylah Fernandez, DK Metcalf, Jordan Clarkson, and Connor Bedard.
The news arrives as Nike and Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand Skims announce a blockbuster partnership that will seem them join forces to take on activewear brands like lululemon, Alo, GymShark, and LSKD.
Hamilton was previously involved with Puma at the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team, and it’s currently unclear whether that partnership will continue as Puma remains the official clothing and footwear partner of his new team, Ferrari. In any case, his new role with lululemon will see him become a key ambassador and collaborate with lululemon’s teams on future products. According to the brand, he will also work with lululemon’s Centre for Social Impact in collaboration with his global foundation, Mission 44, to build a fairer, more inclusive future for the next generation.
“lululemon product is such high quality, looks amazing and ultimately delivers the performance I need it
to,” said Lewis. “I’m excited to partner with a brand that embraces a holistic approach to wellness.
Together we want to inspire our communities to be the best versions of themselves.”

While details about the exact level of Hamilton’s involvement with lululemon will only become apparent in due course, the brand has confirmed that he will feature in an upcoming global campaign, “No Holding Back.” This campaign will showcase the dedication it takes to be a champion, and who better than the man who holds the record for the most Grand Prix race victories, podiums, and pole positions, as well as a record-equalling seven World Championships.
Product-wise, the campaign will focus on the Metal Vent Tech line-up, which includes:
- Metal Vent Tech Short-Sleeve Shirt – AUD$89
- Metal Vent Tech Sleeveless Shirt – AUD$79
- Metal Vent Tech Long-Sleeve Shirt – AUD$109
Previously, Hamilton was heavily involved with Puma as the apparel and footwear brand sponsored the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team. Since his move to Ferrari in the offseason, Hamilton will wear Puma branded clothing whenever he is required to by the Ferrari team. This will include race suits, but could also extend to jackets and footwear.
He previously had a Puma x Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team Speedcat Pro sneaker release in 2020 when he was with the team. Could we see a Lewis Hamilton x lululemon collection? We wouldn’t be surprised.
