Drake Drops NOCTA x Nike Golf Collection

After delivering his hotly anticipated album Certified Lover Boy to the world it seems Drake – and his team full of “loverboys” – have been been working overtime on expanding his business acumen. Whether that means obsessing over streams, Kanye West, or his ever-expanding NOCTA clothing collection, they’re doing all parts equally.

Taking his aim away from Kanye’s music for a second, Drake is back on his NOCTA sh*t. Delivering the latest instalment of the highly sought after products and bringing Nike Golf into the fold to directly address the ever-growing popularity of the sport.

The NOCTA x Nike Golf Collection

In the space of two weeks Drake has simultaneously dropped his best, and worst projects of the year. While his latest album Certified Lover Boy, was a certified miss for many fans – with almost 80 million fewer streams than his 2018 album Scorpion – the same cannot be said about a single product in the latest NOCTA x Nike Golf collection.

Reflecting the same core appearance found in his first collaboration with the Swoosh, ‘The Boy’ (in case you were wondering) comes through with a minimalist aesthetic by way of monochrome anoraks, quarter-zip windbreakers, zip-up track jackets in earthy tones and a green nylon long sleeve with the phrase “NOCTA GOLF” across the back in a white font. Smaller pieces include reflective 3M black polo shirts, a short-sleeved mock neck that’s sure to be one of the more sought after pieces, nylon golf pants, and a vest with exposed pockets. No sneakers this time, although there is a golf cap for a consolidation prize if you don’t hit on any of the other products.

While the collection is by no means traditional streetwear and swings heavily on the golf side, there’s a strong element of the London-to-Toronto aesthetic from the first collection. Drizzy himself is a keen golfer and spent time in Turks and Caicos playing golf while in ‘album mode’. If we had it our way we’d even turn up to putt in pair of Air Max 97’s in true Drake fashion.

Drake’s NOCTA x Nike golf collection is set to touch down online via the Nike SNKRS app and NOCTA.com on September 23. For those of us down under, we recommend keeping your eyes peeled to sites like SUBTYPE and Supply Store for release dates and other limited collections like these.
