One of the label’s best and most-loved pieces is the Skyliner Jacket. Birthed back in 1936, this was the first US-patented down jacket and it came about after Eddie took a trip to the Washington backcountry in the same year.
The Skyliner Jacket was engineered to be light enough to pack but also durable enough to handle the elements. Huckberry x Eddie Bauer – Skyliner Jacket
For nearly a century, the Skyliner jacket has protected everyone from the elements with a shield of weather-resistant down insulation. In the case of the collaborative jacket, we find an exclusive custom-built rendition of the original. With an extra durable and lightweight nylon-treated shell, including a water-repellent finish and bomber-style silhouette that echoes the original 1936 Skyliner design.
The Huckberry x Eddie Bauer Skyliner Jacket features a light flannel lining and is filled with ultra high-loft 800 fill premium down that’s Responsible Down-certified. We appreciate the quality zippered front closure with contrasting pull, two zippered hand pockets at the hips, and the handy interior pocket for secure EDC storage. The jacket also has Eddie Bauer x Huckberry labelling commemorating this limited release.
Sizing ranges from S to XXL and is available in two custom colourways ‘Dark Smoke’ and ‘Bark’ with bespoke archival flannel lining via the link below. Each jacket is priced at USD$300 a piece, not bad.
