Bulgari Octo Finissimo S Chronograph GMT

Bulgari dropped a bunch of new pieces at this year’s LVMH Watch Week, with the Octo family receiving a few new members. The first is the Octo Finissimo S Chronograph GMT. In keeping with the Octo’s sporty-chic look, the Octo Finissimo S Chronograph GMT combines elements of practicality with the Octo’s iconic sharpness and clean look to create a delightfully functional package.

Bulgari Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT Titanium

Similar in its execution to the Octo Finissimo S Chronograph GMT, the Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT Titanium does away with the stainless steel case and replaces it instead with a super-lightweight, ultra-thin titanium case with a black opaline dial and a beautiful textured rubber strap.

Bulgari Octo Finissimo S

The Octo Finissimo S leaves little to the imagination, featuring the world’s thinnest automatic movement in a stunning stainless steel monochromatic look. We really like this super clean and “plain Jane” look, emphasising the finer details of the piece throughout.

Bulgari Octo Roma Carillon Tourbillon

An exercise in complexity and execution, Bulgari’s Octo Roma Carillon Tourbillon is a dramatic piece that combines a three-hammer chine with a tourbillon regulator, all of which is visible through the open-worked dial. Supreme.

Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Orange Sapphire

Hublot made some waves at LVMH Watch Week 2021, too. One of its most awe-inspiring pieces was the Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Orange Sapphire. Featuring an orange-tinted sapphire case, the Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Orange Sapphire does away with convention and pairs this dramatic piece with a tourbillon, all visible through the open-worked dial.

Distinctive and theatrical, the Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon 5-day Power Reserve Carbon White epitomises Hublot’s innovative and contemporary take on watchmaking. We love the exposed carbon look of the case, the incredible open-working of the dial and the beautiful architecture throughout. Fantastic stuff.

Hublot Big Bang MP-11 14-day power reserve Magic Gold

Haute Horlogerie summed up in one piece: the Hublot Big Bang MP-11 14-day power reserve Magic Gold. The Big Bang MP-11 14-day power reserve Magic Gold has an incredible 14-day power reserve that is only matched by the dramatic look of the avantgarde case. The Big Bang MP-11 14-day power reserve Magic Gold is certainly not for everyone’s tastes, but we think Hublot hit the nail on its head with this one.

The Zenith Chronomaster Sport really needs no introduction. It’s an exceptional timepiece that is ushering in a new era of Zenith watches that are appealing, functional and wholly relevant. One of my favourite releases of the year so far.
