Huawei has lifted the lid on the latest editions of its best-selling GT smartwatch. The new Active and Elegant watches feature classic designs, long battery life, real-time activity tracking and fitness coaching for people on the move. Both watches are priced at $399 and will be available from late August.
Huawei GT Active and Elegant watches are slim and durable, made from scratch-resistant materials. The Elegant Edition stands out thanks to its ceramic bezel that undergoes a diamond-level cutting process to create 48 small triangular cuts before being precisely polished. When reflecting light at different angles, the face portrays an array of different colours.
Boasting long-lasting battery life, Elegant runs for up to one-week without charge, and Active a whopping two-weeks. Both offer low-energy, power-saving modes if battery life becomes more important than performance.
The built-in TruSeen 3.0 heart rate monitor tracks heart rate 24-hours a day and displays data in real-time. The TruSleep 2.0 feature monitors sleep quality and can accurately identify between common sleep issues. The smartwatch can also offer over 200 suggestions for improving sleep.
In Sport mode, users can adjust a workout’s intensity based on pre-set targets. In Rest Mode, the smartwatch automatically monitors and records resting heart rate.
The GT watch supports a range of indoor and outdoor workout activities from climbing and trail running, to indoor cycling and swimming. It also features Triathlon Mode allowing users to track open water swimming, outdoor cycling and outdoor running, including transition time.
Both watches feature rubber-like straps for a firm, yet comfortable fit. Active Edition is available in Titanium Grey with an orange or green strap while the Elegant Edition is available in Magic Pearl White and Tahitian Magic Black Pearl, with a colour-matched strap.
The Huawei Watch GT Active and Elegant editions retail at $399 AUD, and will be available from late August.
