Swiss watchmaking IWC Schaffhausen has teamed up with British label Orlebar Brown for a special edition chronograph and a clothing collection comprising sailing wear for the European summer.
The collaboration opens with the IWC Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph available in a special Orlebar Brown edition. This watch is defined by a stainless steel case, a marine-blue dial and a co-branded side-fastener buckle featuring white and red colour accents, which are often found in Orlebar Brown’s products.
The IWC-manufactured movement presents hours, minutes and seconds with subdials at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock, and a power reserve of 68 hours. Thanks to its robust design and water resistance to 6 bars (60 metres), this watch is suited for an action-packed adventure aboard a yacht or just relaxing by the pool in style.
The nautical-inspired chronograph is paired with a blue rubber strap featuring a textile inlay.
Over on the fashion front, Orlebar Brown has designed a nine-piece collection comprising everything from polo shirts and swim shorts to sweaters and a sailing blazer. Arguably the highlight of the capsule collection is the photographic swim short with signature side fasteners, depicting a Solaris 55-foot sailing yacht in front of Porto Rotondo in Sardinia.
“IWC and Orlebar Brown are united by the passion they feel every day for craftsmanship, innovation and quality,” said Christoph Grainger-Herr, CEO of IWC Schaffhausen.
“Our collection is intended for men who successfully navigate through life, and the range supports the dynamic lifestyle of sailors, adventurers and explorers with good design, reliable functionality and supreme style,” added Adam Brown, founder of Orlebar Brown.
The Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph Edition “Orlebar Brown” timepiece is available this month from IWC boutiques and authorised retailers. The Orlebar Brown x IWC clothing collection is available now.
