Tudor Unveils GMT Black Bay Pepsi at Baselworld 2018
Fans of classic sport watches touting the iconic “Pepsi” colour scheme of red, black and blue were given not just one, but two updated versions at Baselworld 2018. First came the Rolex GMT-Master II Pepsi, and then Tudor released their own new Pepsi variant. Equipped for the first time with a GMT complication, the Tudor GMT Black Bay Pepsi delivers steadfast functionality and an aesthetic that’s as identifiable now as it was 60 sixty years ago.
Featuring a 41 mm satin-brushed steel case, the Tudor GMT Black Bay Pepsi maintains a slim profile compared to standard diver’s watches. Nevertheless, it’s waterproof to 200 metres and bolstered by luminescent hour markers against a black dial. At the 6 o’clock marker you’ll find GMT functionality, and under the skin is manufacture calibre MT5652, which was designed exclusively for this model.
Available with either a riveted steel bracelet, brown leather strap or fabric strap, the Tudor GMT Black Bay Pepsi is timeless in style and utility alike. It’s also ergonomic on the wrist, legible and accurate. What else would you ask for in a diver’s watch?
