If we’ve learned anything over the past few years, it’s that staying up-to-date with what’s going on in the world is getting harder. Not only that, but it’s getting more difficult to drown out the things you don’t want to engage with in lieu of the things you do – sometimes, you really do just want someone else to do the hard work for you and deliver advice, or news, or recommendations, or whatever else it is that you’re after.
This is why we love newsletters. They provide everything you need in a digestible format, and hit your inbox with regularity – meaning they can serve as a great alternative to mindlessly scrolling through social media (though, we’re also guilty of that).
Here, we’ve scoured the internet for some of the best sources of daily, weekly, or monthly digestible newsletters that span the breadth of topics we at Man of Many are known for, as well as some stuff we think could be pretty helpful for someone trying to navigate the world we live in today.
So, without further ado, here’s 13 of the Best Email Newsletters for Men.
1. Man of Many
Confidence is probably the most integral quality among successful people and organisations, so it would practically be irresponsible of us not to mention ourselves as providing one of the best newsletters on the web.
We love gear, style, culture, and design. We spend our days researching products and our nights thinking about ideas. We take the best of what’s around and deliver it to you every day of the week. It might be a bit cheeky to suggest ourselves among the best email newsletters out there, but if we didn’t believe we could measure up we’d probably have to stop doing what we love – which isn’t happening.

2. 1440
“We scour 100+ sources so you don’t have to.” Now that’s what we’re talking about. The wonderful people at 1440 strive to deliver you the most consequential news every day, free from bias, spin, or speculation.
The daily newsletter covers topics ranging from economics and politics to entertainment and science. It’s basically everything you need to know about the world each day delivered without interpretation, but with any necessary context included. The goal, 1440 believes, is to give you what you need to make your own decisions.
“Our readers are smart. So we provide the tools and links to dig deeper. We publish the details that help connect the dots.”

3. The 3-2-1 Newsletter
From the author of Atomic Ideas, James Clear, comes a weekly meditation on ideas and topics to keep you thinking. The basic idea is this: every Thursday, Clear sends you a newsletter with three short ideas, two quotes from others, and one question for you to ponder.
That’s it. It’s simple and digestible, but provides enough brain food to keep the critical part of your brain ticking over. Want an example? Okay, one of our favourite insights Clear has delivered is below.
“Boredom is a filter. Common ideas come before it. Uncommon ideas come after it. Sit with a project long enough to get bored with it, then sit a little more. The most useful insights bubble up after you get bored.”

Distributed: Every Thursday

5. Nice News
Are you getting a bit worn down by the constant doom-and-gloom of the world around you? Do you dread reading the news because it’s all just a bit much? Nice News is here to help. Launching in 2022, Nice News aims to deliver you only positive vibes each morning by focusing on the good in the world, as well as the exciting things happening in the world to inspire hope.
The goal is to help its readers see the world in a more optimistic lens, and to keep you up-to-date with the latest in scientific discoveries, environmental advancements, and the people making changes to better the world.
“We believe some of the world’s biggest problems can be solved by simply shifting our collective outlook.”

6. The Hustle
Billed as a five-minute brief on business and tech news, each edition of The Hustle will dive into one topic and give you what you need to know about it. If you’ve ever wondered why startups want to mine asteroids, why toilet paper is getting smaller, or why people using their gym membership might actually be a bad thing for gyms, this is the newsletter for you.
All of these ideas are written in a short, succinct way, and you don’t get any of the unnecessary details. Rather, you’re given the important information delivered in plain English, with links included in case you want to do some extra research yourself.
It’s a winning formula that will give you something interesting and digestible to read while you wait for your coffee to brew each morning.

7. The Daily Aus
If you’re based in Australia, like we are, there’s few news outlets that are as well suited to the newsletter format than The Daily Aus. Already a social-media focused newsroom, the journos at TDA know how to distil all necessary bits of a story into their most base forms and deliver them in an approachable style.
Ever helpful, the daily newsletter is structured based on how much time you have to read, with relevant stats and quotes for those with only 10 seconds to spare, important headlines for those with 30 seconds, a short news story for people with a 1 minute available, and an explainer if you have 2 minutes to read.
It’s a genius way to bring you everything you need to know, while also making it easy to dip in and out as you get time throughout your day.

8. Blazer
If you’re anything like me, your personal style could use an update. Or you just want to learn more about how to dress yourself as a man beyond the basics. This is where Blazer shines.
The team at Blazer sift through hundreds of publications and social media accounts every day to find the best articles, photos, and inspiration from around the internet, package it all into a simple brief email and deliver it to you once a week.
It’s an amazing way to stay connected with where men’s fashion is at any given time, especially if you want some inspiration on how to dress for success.

9. Kevin Rose’s Newsletter
If you don’t know the name Kevin Rose just go ahead and Google it. Go ahead. We’ll wait. Are you done reading about all his accomplishments in tech and finance yet?
Kevin takes the investigative approach to the best of all things style. He brings you the best in podcasts, product reviews, and articles on a monthly basis because finding the true cream of the crop takes a little time. And when we say the best we mean this is a style blog coming from the top down and one of the best newsletters, period.
Kevin produces a lot of fantastic content, but a lot of it is locked behind a premium subscription. You can subscribe for free, you’ll just get fewer emails.

10. NextDraft
NextDraft may be the opposite approach to news and information as some of the other newsletters on this list. Rather than strip events of all opinions and deliver pure facts, NextDraft’s author, Dave Pell, takes a decidedly more personal approach to aggregation.
Pell calls himself a “twitchy, news-addicted, internet junkie”, and claims that he is better at finding interesting stuff to read than any social media algorithms. Given how many times I’ve been recommended something I’ve already seen, or have no interest in, I’d probably agree.
The newsletter is a fantastic resource for anyone that wants to be kept up-to-date with the culture of the internet, and the important goings-on around the world.

11. TLDR
In the past decade, the tech sector really has come to define so much of our world, and often the breakneck speed it moves at can be overwhelming. TLDR seeks to deliver the most interesting and important stories across technology in an easily digestible format.
The range of topics TLDR covers include what Apple and Google are up to, what major AI companies are working on, and tips on how to manage social media as a start up, to name a few. In fact, as you can see in the image above, they have a number of individual newsletters you can subscribe to. It’s an eclectic mix of stories, but unified under the umbrella of technology.
If you have an interest in how the gigantic technology industry is changing but just don’t have the time to dedicate hours to research, TLDR is the shortcut you’ve been looking for.

12. 5-Bullet Friday
You probably know Tim Ferriss as the author of The 4-Hour Workweek and Tools of the Titans, or maybe as the host of the wildly popular The Tim Ferriss Show, in which he interviews inspirational people from across the world.
But little did you know that you can get his thoughts sent straight to your inbox every Friday. In 5-Bullet Friday, Ferriss sends out an exclusive email with the five coolest things he’s found that week, which may be books, gadgets, articles, concepts, or just weird stuff he finds in his research.
It’s a great way to get interesting stuff to come to you, rather than do the research yourself. Hey, if he’s going to be doing it anyway, you might as well capitalise on it?

13. Further
Further is dedicated to those of us approaching midlife, or around their 50s. It isn’t exclusively for Gen X, though, in fact there is a lot to learn about how to live a good life for all of us in Further’s weekly newsletter.
In fact, some of the advice given can be more effective the earlier you enact it, such as ways to stay in good health, manage your finances, and find your sense of purpose in an often alienating world.
If you’ve ever wondered what life would look like as you get closer to retirement, Further paints a detailed picture that will help you along the path.
