Breaking Bad’s Hank Schrader once noted that: “Brewing is an art form.” Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company is taking that sentiment to heart and teaming up with Dean Norris, who played Schrader, and Sony Pictures to make Schraderbrau, the homebrew made by Norris’s character in the hit TV show.
“I’m proud and excited to partner with Sony and Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. to bring the public a product I’ve been passionate about for quite a while,” states Norris, who played Walter White’s DEA agent brother-in-law and homebrewing enthusiast. Norris continues, “We took a lot of time and effort to create a beer (the research was quite enjoyable!) that is worthy of the show it comes from and we think the result is fantastic.”
Susan Pierce, Executive Director Hardlines Sony Pictures Worldwide, said of the beer, “This is a project we have been thinking about for a long time and we are so excited that Dean has decided to take it on. The beer is delicious and we can’t wait for consumers to get their first taste! This will be a must-have for Breaking Bad fans across the country.”
Schraderbrau will be available this Spring and will be accompanied by other merchandise. No word yet on who will carry the beer, but Norris did reveal that “it’s a beer that has been brewed to silky perfection.”
