Man of Many’s Staff Favourites – 22 October 2022

Yeah, buddy! The NBA is back and we finally have something to talk about at work other than our lives and feelings (yUcK). With another beautiful week of torrential rain followed by humidity heat done and suited, we edge our way a little closer to the Christmas holidays and the promise of a better 2023. Until then, soak up some Staff Favourites.

Jose Cuervo Sparkling Margarita Hamper

Nick Hall – Editor-in-Chief

I have always hated tequila with a burning passion, so margaritas were never really my drink of choice, but I’m evolved. Like the old dog learning new tricks or the leopard changing his spots, I have finally learned to embrace the zesty side of life and I am never going back. Something about a cocktail made with lemon juice makes me feel like it could almost be…healthy? Whatever the case, I am now a bonafide margarita man, the only downside of which is trying to pull all the ingredients together quickly.

Thankfully, I scored a handy little hamper kit from the legends at Jose Cuervo this week, chock-full of sparkling margs ready to be enjoyed. The new cans arrive expertly mixed with authentic Jose Cuervo and the natural flavours of juicy watermelon, zesty lime and triple sec, with a lightly sparkling finish. If you love margaritas (like myself) but hate preparing them (also like myself), then let Jose do the work for you. The Watermelon Sparkling Margarita is available in cases of 24, in single 330ml cans and four packs for RRP$25.00 from participating retailers.

Silvi – The Anti-Acne Pillowcase

Scott Purcell – Co-Founder

It’s silly season already and with that comes plenty of drinking, unhealthy food and late nights. Let’s be honest, it doesn’t really do wonders for your skin if you suffer from acne. You might even wake up in a sweat in summer with a grotty yellow-stained pillowcase which makes matters even worse if you’re trying to look your best for the work day ahead and hide that hangover. Step-in Silvi, the award-winning anti-acne silk pillowcase. It features a world-first combination of silk treated with antibacterial silver to prevent bacterial growth on your face. It’s meant to reduce breakouts and clogged pores, retain your skin’s moisture (and we all know moisture is the essence of wetness), reduce wrinkles and is even temperature regulating so you don’t sweat as much. Given you spend a third of your life asleep, $89 is a worthy investment.

Beach season is upon us, so I’m in a mad scramble to get the rig in order before silly season. However, as I look around at all the stylish people in my HIIT workout class, I’ve realised my gym clothes are in serious need of an update. Thankfully, the athleisure experts at LSKD just dropped a new range of performance shorts for all types of workouts. Their latest collection caters to all your exercise needs, whether you’re going for a coastal walk, running at the park or pushing plates at the iron paradise. The quality fabrics combined with contemporary designs has me ready to go beast mode, so keep a look for this jacked unit over the summer.

DIEVIER Nomad Midnight Suede Boots

John Guanzon – Head of Social

DIEVIER is a relatively new brand coming out of North America and they make limited-batch, handmade premium footwear. I’ve been wearing the DIEVIER Nomad boots in waxed midnight suede and straight off the bat, you can really notice the high-quality craftsmanship from the first wear. The boots are lightweight and flexible, with the thick polyurethane sole’s slip- and oil-resistant properties giving it a solid and robust feel at the same time. The natural cork foot bed makes you feel like you’re walking on a cloud and the extra thick cushioned sole gives you around an extra inch of height – a sure fire hit for all the short kings out there. The real premium tell is in the meticulous attention to detail, with the black vegan leather interior lining and waxed cotton laces tastefully complimenting the excellent-quality suede. Honestly, it could easily pass as an expertly hand-crafted piece of footwear made by a European artisan that I picked up in Italy (don’t tell anyone that I didn’t).
