Easter Jeep Safari happens every year and is a haven for Jeep enthusiasts with a bevy of new concept cars which the brand showcases. This year Jeep has revealed seven new concept cars for the Annual Easter Jeep Safari including even more wild ones with a focus on electrification. Here’s the lowdown on all of the concept cars.

Wrangler Magneto 3.0 Concept
One of the big stars of the 2023 Easter Jeep Safari concept vehicle line-up includes the Jeep Wrangler Magneto 3.0 Concept which makes a comeback to Moab for the third time. Based on a two-door 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, Magneto 1.0 concept was first introduced in 2021 as a BEV. The e-motor was initially tuned to deliver up to 273 lb.-ft. of torque and 285 horsepower. With the 2023 iteration, it’s more than triple the torque of the original concept with 650 horsepower and 900 lb.-ft. of torque. Drivers now have the option of a Two-stage power regeneration mode along with a hill descent mode which can be selected in low range to offer true ‘one pedal’ off-road driving.
Other highlights include Dynatrac 60 front axles (5.38:1 ratio), Dynatrac 80 rear axles (5.38:1 ratio), 20-inch off-road beadlock wheels, 40-inch mud terrain tyres and a custom 3-inch (7.6 cm) lift. Design-wise, the windshield has been raked back 12 degrees to give the side view a “chopped” roof feel without shortening the front glass while the concept gets an updated paint scheme.
Scrambler 392 Concept
There is also the Jeep Scrambler 392 Concept, which started as a four-door Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and is inspired by the original Scrambler (CJ-8) convertible. Add in a 6.4-litre HEMI V-8 engine and it’s a recipe for open-top fun in an off-road avatar. Custom carbon fibre bodywork within its two-door silhouette gives a chopped hot-rod look while the windshield is laid back 12 degrees and matches a lower roof. An air suspension kit and 20-inch tyres wrapped around custom 20-inch rims along with a striking green paint job round off this green behemoth.
1978 Cherokee 4xe Concept
With Jeep’s glorious back catalogue, an electric restomod was too tempting to resist and this 1978 Jeep Cherokee 4xe Concept has the mechanicals of a Wrangler Rubicon 4xe underneath. Hence, there is a combination of two electric motors, a battery pack, and a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine. An eight-speed automatic transmission is matched up to a 4:1 transfer case while 37-inch tires wrapped around custom 17-inch “slotted mag” style wheels complete the restomod look.
Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Concept
If the standard Wrangler is too subtle for you then this retina-searing paint job does the trick. It is a follow-up of the Tuscadero exterior colour that debuted in 2021 for Jeep Wrangler models and is a deep chromatic magenta shade. Elsewhere, you get pink-hued paint with Gloss Black accents sprinkled across the front grille and headlamp bezels. The seven-slot grille was borrowed from the new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 20th Anniversary model, which sets off a custom hood graphic with a tone-on-tone print.
Finally, you have 37-inch tyres that are wrapped around custom 17-inch black American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) Borah wheels. The interior carries forward the same theme and has a black patent leather dash panel along with a zipper trim that hides a layer of pink velvet just beneath.
Grand Wagoneer Overland Concept
The Grand Wagoneer and Wagoneer are huge American-style luxury SUVs while the Overland Concept adds a tinge of adventure into the mix. The concept’s main highlight is a custom RedTail Overland Skyloft affixed to the top of the Grand Wagoneer’s roof. The carbon-fibre-constructed Skyloft can be raised by simply pushing with one arm for around 10 seconds.
To integrate the Skyloft, Jeep has removed the second and third-row seats. The rear-most sunroof was also repositioned to create a weatherproof, pass-thru entrance from the lower third-row seating area to the upper Skyloft level. A fore/aft sliding door and a small step, which also doubles as a usable table, make for easy access. Add in two oversized beanbags, a throw rug, pillows and custom, ambient interior lighting and you have the ultimate overlanding SUV while its 3.0-litre Hurricane Twin Turbo 510 engine will also take you places quickly!
Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Departure Concept
This Mad-Max style concept packs in a bunch of nifty upgrades from JPP by the Mopar design team. Riding on 17-by-8.5-inch Vintage Bronze KMC Impact OL wheels and 37-inch BFGoodrich tyres, the Wrangler 4xe Departure concept features a JPP 2-inch (5 cm) lift kit with BILSTEIN performance shock absorbers. A custom-designed tubular grille guard measuring 4 feet by 1 foot adds to the menacing stance while it also gets a modified Rubicon bumper with a Warn winch. The huge flat fender flares also have integral removable daytime-running-light (DRL) covers.
The Wrangler 4xe Departure concept uses three concepts header-mounted, 11-inch (28 cm) TYRI rectangular LED lights with custom brackets that mount to the backside of the windshield header. At the rear there is also a custom convertible tube gate that provides either front- or rear-facing positions for the spare wheel and tyre. Hence, with the spare being flipped outward, the system acts as a bed extender to provide more luggage space.
Gladiator Rubicon Sideburn Concept
Forget the name, this is a serious bit of kit with a 3.6-litre Pentastar V-6 and a 2-inch lift kit with BILSTEIN performance shock absorbers. Based on the Gladiator, the JPP by Mopar design team has added a pair of removable 11-inch TYRI rectangular LED lights to each of the roof panels while chunky black HRE 17-by-9-inch FT1 six-spoke wheels wrapped around 37-by-13-inch BF Goodrich tyres to enhance its butch appeal.
Just like the 4xe Departure concept, there is a custom-designed tubular grille guard measuring 4 feet by 1 foot that folds down to create a bumper bench. The bed on the Gladiator Sideburn concept features integral Molle panels above and behind the wheel flares for additional storage plus a modified Mopar bed-mounted spare tire carrier that holds a 37-inch wheel and tyre.
