This year, the Super Alpine 500 classic car rally will feature some of the tidiest vintage models to date. Spotters will be breaking necks at the world-class selection of brands like McLaren, Aston Martin, Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Mercedes and Audi who’ll be making the 500 Kilometre journey in style.

There’s also a range of trophies to be won, including the ‘Can’t Believe You Made It Here’ award for all the vintage Alfa owners and the ‘Best Alpine Styled Vehicle’ on top of the ‘Overall Winner’ and ‘Checkpoint Completion’ that will be awarded at the mid-mountain Presentation Lunch presented by none other than Mumm Champagne.

More than just a point A to B rally, the drive will take entrants through Canberra where they’ll enjoy a lunch event at Pialligo Estate before setting off to Cooma for an overnight stay. The next morning will have drivers excited as they embark on the most exciting part of the rally between Cooma and the Thredbo Alpine Resort. After winding through the twisties the teams will enjoy a mid-mountain long lunches en-piste, whisky tastings, and a retro-themed ‘First Base’ party as the final event.

The event is open to all pre-1991 classic cars (with a lean towards European makes). Set to bring friends, family and car enthusiasts together for a weekend of enjoyable driving and alpine adventure.
