Evidently, the new Triumph Speed Twin Breitling Limited Edition is fast—at least, it’s fast enough that the 2023 version is already here. Representing the collaboration between the 138-year-old luxury watchmaker Breitling and the equally heralded motorcycle manufacturer Triumph, the new version of the Speed Twin takes full advantage of the updates made to the bike in 2022.

Building on the already impressive Speed Twin base, the Breitling version adds Ohlins shocks, making the bike fully adjustable. The shocks feature piggyback reservoirs and black springs, and are thus unique to this build. The inverted fork from Marzocchi is carried over. The colorway is also unique, while also being a little familiar. Fans of Marlon Brando’s “The Wild One” may recognize the color as being the same as the bike the actor rode. Triumph actually used a preserved colour chip from that original Thunderbird to recreate it.
Using a spectrograph, the company mixed a custom batch of the paint and then hand-masked the tank before painting it and then handing it off to Triumph’s paint team artist Gary Devine for the hand-painted detailing. Right behind the tank you’ll find a perforated leather seat with gray stitching on the perimeter, which matches up with the special Top Time Triumph chronograph that Breitling is offering to buyers. Breitling also influenced the analog-style gauges, which also come with twin LCD displays for technical information.
Only 270 examples of the 2023 Triumph Speed Twin Breitling Limited Edition will be made. Why 270? Because that’s a reference to the bike’s 270-degree crank. Each bike will be numbered on the handlebar clamp and will come with a certificate of authenticity from CEOs Nic Bloor of Triumph and Georges Kern of Breitling. Buyers can get the bike for $18,300, and will have the chance to pick up their own matching Breitling Top Time Triumph chronograph.
