Welcome to Sneaker News #17. It’s Halloween week and there are plenty of shoes to match the occasion with both Nike and adidas rolling out shoes with glow-in-the-dark soles. If you’re a treat over trick type person, New Balance has also teamed with Jolly Rancher for a sweet collaboration. It’s not all Halloween. If you’d rather stay away from the spooky stuff there are fresh drops by Reebok, Converse and adidas.

Nike Halloween Air Force 1 ‘Orange Skeleton’

Nike is gearing up for Halloween with a spooky orange colourway of the iconic Air Force 1. The shoe features a skeleton X-ray print and an entirely glow-in-the-dark sole. It’s going to be the hardest shoe of the week to get your hands on so you’re going to have to do some early prep. Sneakerboy and Up There Store will be selling the shoes via a raffle with winners to be announced on 28th October. Subtype is also stocking the shoe but details are still to come.

Yeezy Boost 380

It seems the spooky season is influencing a number of shoes with the Yeezy 380 also launching with a glow-in-the-dark sole this week. The ‘Calcite Glow’ is the latest colourway of the relative Yeezy newcomer 380. It features a typically earthy primeknit upper but there is a much louder colourway on the way according to the brand. The shoe will have a wide launch on Saturday, 31st October on adidas and Yeezy Supply as well as a number of boutique sneaker stores.

BBC x Reebok Question Low

Reebok is clawing its way back into the 2020 sneaker game with a number of limited edition collaborations. The latest is a time up with iconic streetwear label Billionaire Boys Club and ICECREAM. There are a number of silhouettes in the range but the Question Low is particularly eye catching. It’s a predominantly white leather shoe with grandiose gold prints. It will be available on 29th October at midnight AEDT at Reebok.

Air Jordan Retro 1 High OG ‘Black Mocha’

Air Jordan continues to roll out new Retro 1 High OG colourways. The latest is the ‘Black Mocha’ – a sleek take with black nubuck leather and mocha suede. It may look familiar to some who have followed Travis Scott’s Jordan collaborations. He also rolled out a ‘Mocha’ colourway but with a reversed swoosh. This one drops on 31st October at JD Sports and Nike.

Converse Jungle Cloth Skidgrip

Converse is relaunching an old classic with a modern update. The Skidgrip returns with a utility-inspired update featuring hardy jungle cloth and a durable waxed canvas converge. It’s one of the toughest shoes Converse has on offer right now and likely to withstand any kind of terrain. The Skidgrip is available to cop on Converse.

adidas Hu NMD ‘Dash Green’

adidas and Pharrell’s fruitful collaboration continues with more Hu NMD colourways to add to the range. This time around it’s getting a ‘Dash Green’ primeknit upper with fresh white laces. As per usual, the shoe celebrates human diversity featuring Chinese characters on the upper. adidas is set to unleash this latest version on 12th November at midnight AEDT

New Balance x Jolly Rancher 327

For those who have candy on the mind thanks to Halloween this one should satisfy your sweet tooth. New Balance is teaming up with Jolly Rancher for a new collection. Its take on the popular 327 silhouette is unsurprisingly bright featuring bold blue tones and a green sole. The star of the shoe is the shiny royal blue New Balance logo. Saturday, 31st October the shoe will drop at New Balance and JD Sports.

Reebok Club 85 ‘Vector Red’

The Club 85 is one of Reebok’s hallmark shoes and while the white will always be the most recognisable, the brand has been pushing out bright colourways throughout its history. The latest is a red take with a soft suede upper. The red theme continues to the mid-sole and out-sole while maintaining its gum bottom. Hit up Reebok at midnight AEDT on Saturday, 31st October to cop.
