hublot spirit of big bang yellow sapphire

Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Yellow Sapphire

Sapphire-based watches are all the craze right now, but Hublot have definitely taking it a step further with the Spirit of Big Bang Yellow Sapphire. Featuring a pioneering coloured sapphire, the Spirit of Big Bang Yellow Sapphire is a tribute to Hublot’s colorimetric quest to create the absurd and the downright, almost-thought-of impossible. The Spirit of Big Bang Yellow Sapphire’s tonneau case is made entirely of a sapphire crystal block that has been tended to by the experts at Hublot to create this incredible spectacle. It’s almost as though the Spirit of Big Bang Yellow Sapphire has captured the colour essence of the sun, and it’s a look that is stunning. Definitely not for everyone, the Spirit of Big Bang Yellow Sapphire is an ode to Hublot’s creative and adventurous nature.

Hublot Classic Fusion Tourbillon Orlinski

Created in collaboration with the visual artist Richard Orlinski, the Classic Fusion Tourbillon Orlinski is undeniably appealing, satisfying both the aesthetic and the mechanical wants and needs of watch enthusiasts around the world. It’s available in three distinct case material types. Sapphire, gold (also known as King Gold), and ceramic. Each variant brings about a different look and feel to the Classic Fusion Tourbillon Orlinski, but each carries with it the quintessential feeling of avantgarde architecture, of artistic freedom and, of course, of sublime workmanship.

Hublot Big Bang Unico White 42mm

Hublot Big Bang Unico White 42mm

The last Hublot of the week comes in the form of the Big Bang Unico White 42mm, arguably one of Hublot’s most recognisable and well-known watches. They call it elegant, minimalist and refined. I like to think of the Big Bang Unico White 42m as being loud, disruptive and unapologetically ostentatious. The Big Bang Unico White 42mm is the quintessential Hublot, there’s no doubt about it. This particular model is available in a variety of different models, two featuring diamonds and the other without, with each variant representing some of the finest watchmaking the world has ever known.

rado true thinline bethan grey
Rado True Thinline Bethan Grey

RADO True Thinline Bethan Grey

Created in collaboration with award-winning British desiger Bethan Gray, the True Thinline Bethan Grey evokes the notion of simplicity, of subtly and of intrigue. Its aesthetic is one that is both unique and contemporary with thanks to the contrasting effects of the grey marquetry pattern dial and the matte-black ceramic monobloc case. This effect is further accentuated by the gold coloured elements on the dial ring, the crown and on the strap. The True Thinline Bethan Grey is powered by a Quartz movement, and like many of RADO’s ultra-modern pieces, the focus is definitely on the visuals here. Certainly not a piece for everyone, but it is one that I hold in high regard, if anything for its striking persona.
