Set to premiere on October 21, Prime Video has dropped a first look at the highly anticipated second season of Chris Pratt’s action-thriller series The Terminal List.
Coming over four years after the show’s first season, Prime Video had initially renewed the show for a second season way back in 2023. However, a prequel series, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, premiered squarely inbetween seasons of the OG show, airing on Prime Video in 2025.
It’s not hard to see why the show was renewed for a second season. According to Prime Video, the franchise thus far has been seen by more than 100 million people. Not bad for a franchise with only 15 episodes to its name thus far.
We know Pratt will be reviving his role as Navy SEAL Commander James Reece, and we know that the story of The Terminal List‘s second season will again be plucked straight from Jack Carr’s novel series of the same name. But what else do we know about The Terminal List season 2 ahead of its October premiere?
What Is The Plot Of ‘The Terminal List’ Season 2?
According to Prime Video, The Terminal List season 2 will kick off with Reece on the course to Mozambique, grieving all that he lost in the show’s first season. In the trailer we see shots of him holding a child’s drawing interspersed with hallucinations and “double visions” of his time as a Commander. That is, until we see him fall into the stormy waters of the Indian Ocean.
In a desperate attempt from the American government to uncover a plot that threatens global security, Reece is en-listed with a promise of a full pardon for his crimes. His new mission promises to take him on a truly global journey, compared to season 1’s almost-strictly US-based setting. With redemption and grief driving Reece, The Terminal List season 2 is shaping up to be more of a psychological, revenge thriller than your standard action series.
The Terminal List season 2 follows the events of Carr’s second novel in the series, True Believer. Alongside Pratt, the cast will feature new players including Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Martin Sensmeier, Arnold Vosloo, Jeremy Bobb, Shiraz Tzarfati, and more. Of course, old favourites from season 1, like Constance Wu’s Katie Buranek and Luke Hemsworth’s Jules Landry, will also be appearing.
To maintain a level of authenticty, former Navy SEAL Jared Shaw and former Army Ranger Max Adams work on the series as executive producers. They’re joined by the likes of military veterans contributing as writers, actors, on-set technical advisors, and directors, including former Navy SEAL Ray Mendoza.

The Terminal List Season 2 sets its sights on Wednesday, October 21 2026, will all eight episodes of the season dropping at once. No need to have the suspense eat you up week after week.
