Jordan Peele’s Fourth Feature Film Reportedly Cops Strange Release Date

Jordan Peele has had an incredible evolution in Hollywood, transitioning from a sketch comedian to an Oscar-winning filmmaker. It’s hard to believe that the same man who created the famous “Slap Ass” sketch is now one of the most respected directors in the industry, with no plans of slowing down. Variety reports that Peele, now 44 years old, is working on an “Untitled Fourth Film” set to release on December 25, 2024. Could this be a Christmas-themed horror flick?

Similar to the lead-up of his previous films, Get Out, Us, Candyman, and Nope, there’s little information about his upcoming project. However, if it’s anything like his past work, it will likely be a box-office success. Peele’s first three movies have grossed nearly AUD$1 billion, according to the entertainment publication. The fourth title is also set to release just days after James Cameron’s Avatar 3.

Although we won’t be seeing anything from Peele this year, Universal reportedly has scheduled another “horror/thriller” with Peele’s production company, Monkeypaw, to release on September 27, 2024. Like the untitled project, there are no additional details available.

In a July 2022 interview with the Associated Press, Peele mentioned that people have asked him about a sequel to Get Out, and that there’s certainly more to tell He also expressed his eagerness to create more genre films that explore societal issues, saying, “I feel like I’m off to the races. I just don’t know if I could limit how many films I have that are me. I’m starting to lose sight of what I would be doing if I wasn’t doing movies like this. So I would say the project has extended.”
