Ralph Lauren recently debuted its Fall/Winter 2022 Collection inside a modern space within the NYC’s Museum of Modern Art, leaning into elements of refined luxury and sculptural design. Opting for a space that inspired audiences globally, Lauren used the area’s stunning views of the city skyline to immerse attendees in the captivating world of the iconic fashion brand. Complemented by the special art surrounding them, the enchanting runway show celebrated daring designs and spontaneity.

At the essence of the Fall/Winter 2022 collection, Ralph Lauren traverses a contrasting palette of black and white, adding dashes of red for refined flair. Also recalling a more romantic approach, the silhouettes are a testament to personal style that stuns both in the daytime and nighttime. This season, the Fall/Winter 2022 release encompasses both a Women’s Collection and Men’s Purple Label.
“My Fall/Winter 2022 Collection is a celebration of the timeless style of black and white emboldened in the sleek lines of tailored silhouettes for both men and women,” Ralph Lauren shared in a press statement. “As we come back together, I wanted to share it in an intimate environment within the iconic beauty of The Museum of Modern Art in New York City.”
Moreover, the designer went on to add an acknowledgement regarding the devastation of Ukraine – and how the current conflict has allowed him to reflect on the beauty and opportunity of fashion. “The tragedy and devastation we are witnessing now was unthinkable. Back then all I could think about was coming back together with my teams and all of you to share the hopefulness that collaboration and creativity can inspire. So, in the midst of this sadness, we go forward united in our hope for peace, and our hope for the end of this pandemic and a return to being together.”
Taking a closer looking at the Men’s Purple Label, the menswear line mostly consists of ready-to-wear options. The traditional yet contemporary articles play with this same dichotomy of black and white dressing. Sophisticated sensibility is a key element, as classic patterns of pinstripes and glen plaids are contrasted with graphic detailing. We also can’t overlook the fantastic outerwear in this collection. Thick knitwear bundles up in chunky sweaters, while the winter-ready coats stick to heritage styles. One of our favourite outfits includes a double-breasted overcoat with a wool cowl neck channelling a cosmopolitan look. Timeless in style and authentic in execution, it’s no wonder Ralph Lauren continues to be a leading brand in menswear across the world.
