Big things are happening at footwear label Oliver Cabell with the launch of several new products, including one which has the potential to change the footwear industry forever. OK. That may be an exaggeration but only slightly.
First up is the latest Oliver Cabell release, the GAT Mango Mohawk. The GAT is a retro-inspired German athletic trainer hand-crafted with luxury materials like Italian calfskin leather, suede and Spanish vegetable-tanned leather lining.
It’s a similar GAT sneaker to the one previously featured within these pages with a new Mango colourway. The GAT sneakers are available in a limited quantity and expected to sell out soon. For comparison, the recently GAT made in partnership with French tannery Remy Carriat, sold out in days.
After a year of development, Oliver Cabell is gearing up the release of a series of cleaning products specifically designed for premium leather sneakers, including a shoe whitener, the first product exclusively created to revive white leather sneakers. From what we understand, this process is a little like buffing scratches out of a car; only it’s leather that goes on your feet. The two cleaning products go live on July 23.
Finally, this is the big one! On August 13, Oliver Cabell will launch its latest footwear innovation, the Phoenix, a 3D printed sneaker made out of recycled water bottles. Info on the Phoenix is currently slim, although we do know it will be available in white and black colourways.
More details including the process, additional materials and price are expected to drop later this week so we’ll be sure to let you know. In the meantime, you can follow the link below and sign up to receive a notification when the Phoenix recycled water bottle sneakers are available to purchase.
Also, if you missed out on the Oliver Cabell x Remy Carriat GAT, the two brands are launching a limited edition Low 1 sneaker in a textured bullhide leather on July 23.
