Welcome to this week’s instalment of the Wind Up, our weekly series where we highlight the latest watch releases of the past seven days. In this week’s round-up, we’re featuring new watches from Urwerk, H. Moser & Cie, Kross Studios and Peren Hintz. Enjoy gents!
Urwerk UR-220 SL Asimov
New from Urwerk is the UR-220 SL Asimov. A quintessential depiction of Urwerk’s genius, the UR-220 SL Asimov’s distinctive floating satellites cut through the darkness thanks to the luminescent material that they’re filled with. Another beautiful piece of contemporary mastery from Urwerk.
H. Moser & Cie Heritage Perpetual Calendar
H. Moser & Cie released its latest piece, the Heritage Perpetual Calendar. Featuring a beautiful Grand Feu enamel dial with Moser’s distinct fume look. Drawing inspiration from the original vintage designs of the brand’s founder Heinrich Moser, the new Heritage Perpetual Calendar is akin to a blast from the past.
Space Jam x Kross Studio
In light of the new Space Jam moving premiering around the world, Kross Studio has released this super limited edition set that includes a watch with a central tourbillon, along with an interactive sculpture that honours both basketball and Looney Tunes. The price for one of these ten limited edition sets? An eye-watering $100,000USD.
Peren Hintz Nera Rogue
Peren Hintz is a Transylvanian watchmaker inspired by Eugen Hintz, the man who pioneered watchmaking in Transylvania. The Nera Rogue draws inspiration from another legend, a declassified and undisclosed Tornek-Rayville homage project which went rogue. The Tornek-Rayville was a diver’s watch from the 1960s and was made for the US Navy’s Experimental Diving Unit, now known as the Navy SEALS. The Nera Rogue is a contemporary remake of that same watch, minus the use of radioactive material. The result is something that is wholesome, captivating, and quite novel.
Fratello x Czapek Antarctique Passage de Drake “Viridian Green”
Czapek has partnered with the very well known online watch blog Fratello to create its latest watch, the Antarctique Passage de Drake “Viridian Green”. Released in a limited run of only 50 pieces, the new Antarctique Passage de Drake “Viridian Green” has a stunning 3D “flinqué” pattern on the dial, along with shortened indices and a movement that is, in a word, exquisite. One of the better watches released in partnership with a watch blog.
