Costco 4-Litre Tequila Tromba

Supersize Your Silly Season with Costco’s Giant 4-Litre Bottles of Tequila

Anyone who’s had the unfortunate experience of flicking through dating apps will know tequila is a fan favourite. In fact, it’s almost odd when someone doesn’t refer to spicey margs in their bio – haha lol. Catering to the unloved masses, Costco is now slinging 4-litre bottles of tequila to ensure cocktail lovers are fully stocked for a summer of courtship. And while we can’t guarantee whipping out a giant bottle of Mexico’s finest will ensure dating success, it’s a definite conversation starter.

The geniuses behind this headache-inducing creation is Tequila Tromba – the project of three mates (two of them being Australian) who met in Guadalajara in 2005 and decided to give up their day jobs in search of making extraordinary tequila. They found partners in a maverick master distiller Marco Cedano, and his son, Rodrigo. According to the brand, these were men skilled in the art of turning blue agave into ‘bottle brilliance’, resulting in a smooth, viscous finish that emits fresh botanical aromas and tasting notes of mint, pineapple and caramel.

Their latest limited edition release has been specifically designed for the festive season; a single bottle of supersized Tequila that can make 66 margaritas. We did the math, so you don’t have to. All you need is one trip to Costco, 3960mLs of Tequila Tromba Blanco, 1,980mL of lime juice and 990mLs of agave nectar, and you’ve got yourself a delicious Tommy’s Margarita for you and 65 of your closest friends. For those wanting to up the ante, the large format bottle is also the perfect addition to any slushie machine. Frozen margs, anyone?

To fully embrace the Costco spirit, we recommend pairing the jug-esque bottle with some other buy-in-bulk snacks to line the stomach. The 4L bottles of Tequila Tromba are available now at all Australian licensed Costco stores for $369.99. At under $6 under a Marg each, this a deal not to be missed for agave advocates.
