Robin Leach ended his show Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous with his signature catchphrase “champagne wishes and caviar dreams.” The shows always depicted the lifestyles of the upper crust, and inevitably one carmaker would make an appearance in nearly every episode—Rolls Royce.
The House of Rolls Royce is keeping that lifestyle going with their recent announcement of the latest addition to their accessory line: the Champagne Chest.
“The Champagne Chest by Rolls Royce Motor Cars is a contemporary and sociable addition to the Accessories Collection,” says Gavin Hartley, Head of Bespoke Design, Rolls Royce Motor Cars. “The approach is that of designing a Rolls Royce motor car; the finest materials are married with pinnacle engineering to provide an experience like no other.
“The Champagne Chest is crafted for those that seek a heightened sense of occasion in an elegant, entertaining manner and offers the irresistible allure of gadgetry.”
The chest is made of machined aluminium and carbon fibre, which is then covered in Natural Grain black leather and Tudor Oak.
Customers can request a bespoke colour if they want. Press the button, and a champagne set for four is revealed as the lid turns into a serving tray. The chest also comes with four cotton napkins embroidered with the RR monogram. The sides open to provide two hammocks for the champagne.
The chest also has a thermal cooler for both the champagne and caviar caissons. This really is what Leach was talking about.
